Get Involved!

How Can I Get Involved?

There are a number of ways you can get involved or help the preservation of the Panel:

Join the Society

We have membership available for all levels of interest and sizes of pocket.

See our Membership Information page for more details.

Spread the Word

Do you know someone how might be interested in the project?

Why not let them know about it?

Assist the Restoration

If you are interested in becoming actively involved in the restoration and operation of the panel then you will be most welcome to join us at Didcot. No previous skills are required, but they are certainly welcomed!

Please let us know by e-mail or at one of our meetings. See our Activities Calendar for days when we are working. Our documentation for working volunteers is also available here. You can make a difference to the success of the Project!

Join our E-mail list

If you are interested in keeping up to date with the project then sign up to our e-mail update list. (We won’t share your details and you can unsubscribe at any time).

Come along to a Meeting

We hold activities to encourage discussion on the project, these are great for finding out about the project and giving your ideas.

Contribute to our Research

We are trying to research as much as we can about the history of MAS in the Swindon area. You can see some of our research here.

Do you have one of the signalling notices on our ‘Wanted’ list, or a photograph of the panel that you could send us a scan of?

Do you have a memory of the panel? Did you work it? We’d love to hear from you!

Make a Donation to the fund

Swindon Panel Preservation is entirely funded by voluntary donations and members. If you wish to make a donation please visit our retail partner site’s donation page.

The activities of the Society, and how it uses your donation, are Charitable and governed by our constitution (governing document).

Sponsor an item from our Wish List

Don’t forget, you can also help by sponsoring an item from our Amazon Wish List. (Items don’t have to be bought from Amazon, if you would like to buy it from elsewhere or you have a spare item at home that you don’t need, we would be very grateful to receive it.)

Many thanks.
