Auction – FGW Maps – Now Closed

We are delighted to be auctioning three large whiteboard maps of the First Great Western network and surrounding area, kindly donated by FGW.

There are three whiteboard maps (all identical), so the top THREE bids will be successful.

The maps are 2.35 metres wide by 1.16 metres tall, and cover all the FGW network from Paddington to Penzance, the South Coast and Worcester. They show all the lines, crossovers, points, platforms, stations, sidings, level crossings (including type and mileage), junctions (including mileage), and ELRs. They are ideal for any railway enthusiast’s garage or model railway room!

The artwork originates from the “Track Atlas” publication, made by the same company that produces Quail maps. The railway being an ever-changing landscape, these maps date from around about 2010 and show the original Reading layout.

The whiteboards will be auctioned to raise funds for the Panel move that we all hope will be happening this summer.

The auction will run from 4 March until Friday 20 March.

Last but not least, thank you very much indeed to First Great Western for this most generous donation!
