Project Meeting

Saturday 14 September was the day of the latest public project meeting, held in Swindon and followed by a visit to the panel itself. Those who visited the panel where shown the operating floor and the relay room where Tony Cotterell kindly gave an interesting talk on relay interlocking basics and explained what some of the relays downstairs where actually doing.

I think we can safely say that it was a successful day. It was well attended and hopefully enjoyed by all. We took in a significant amount of money in donations which will be a great help towards our setup costs for which we are very grateful. It was especially good to finally meet so many of our support so far and hope to see you again in the near future.

So I’d just like to say thanks to everyone who came and those who helped organise the event. I’d especially like to extend my thanks to the staff on duty in the box who where very patient towards us.

Details of our next project meeting will be posted here (and e-mailed out) as soon as they are available.

Thank you very much to James Keith for recording part of the visit on video!
